Birthday Fun and Happiness

It was our good friend's Jesseca's birthday last Saturday so we had a surprise party for her on Wednesday night.

Lillian made her an amazing Freightliner cake!

Good Times!

Also this week, Josh and I and 2 other couples from our biblestudy group have taken on the challenge to not be negative. Apparently there is a church that is fasting for 40 days from negativity, and so we thought we start off slow and try for 1 week to see how it goes. This means no negative thoughts, actions, or words from this Monday to next. It's crazy to realize how often we're actually negative. It's so easy to think negatively towards a bad driver, or get caught up with the gossip at work. Or even to be anxious and worry...all of these things are negative even if their just in our thoughts! It's definitely been a challenge, but a good one!

No Negativity coming from this couple :) I hope you all have a fabulouse weekend!

Camp-Out

This past Friday, Josh and I spent a night out camping with friends from our couples biblestudy group. It's been so great having other Christian couples that we can fellowship with every week! It was also nice to get away for a relaxing night, visiting by the campfire, and taking advantage of the nice weather on the lake.

All the boys showing us their wakeboarding moves. This was Josh's first time ever wakeboarding and he got up right away!

This is Tim. He's a proffessional :)

Here's Naomi showing the boys how it's done :)

I've only gone wakeboarding a couple times, but I think I'm addicted :)

Heather and Dan. Heather is having a baby, due at the end of September, so I think she was pretty content just sitting in the boat.

We only stayed one night, so it all went by so fast. We'll definitely have to do it again, but next time we'll stay for the weekend!

Kittens for Sale

The other morning, we let our dog Emmett out while we were getting ready for work. All of a sudden, I heard a yelp from Emmett and looked outside to see him being scratched by a cat. The cat then went to hide under our shed, while Emmett followed to sniff around. He had his nose under the shed, when the cat took another big swipe at him. We found out a couple days later that this cat was actually a mama protecting her 3 kittens that have made a home under our shed!!
We're waiting to see if any of our neighbors come looking for their missing cat, otherwise we have no idea what we're going to do with them. Neither of us our big cat fans, and considering Emmett is now scared of them, I don't think it would work too well having them as our pets :)
The kittens are pretty cute though...
