Trip to Vernon

Well we've been home for almost 2 weeks since Vernon, and I still haven't posted about it...so sorry.
Our trip to Vernon was so much fun! It was great to finally be able to introduce Liam to many of our family and friends. My Dad and sister Shelley hadn't come up when he was born, so this was their first time meeting him.

One day, we took a trip up to Davison Orchards for their pumpkin festival. Sarah and I got to take our boys on a tractor ride up to the pumpkin patch. We waited in line for quite a while, so as soon as we got to the pumpkin patch it was Liam's feeding time. Sarah and I felt like the worst mom's. My kid was screaming his head off as we try and take a picture, while Isaac is left on the ground filling his face with mud! It did make for some pretty funny pictures though...

Liam's thoughts: "Give me some food!!"

Isaac's thoughts: "Hey buddy, it's alright. Try the dirt, it's good"

Yay! Finally a good one.

Sarah and I were able to make a trip to Clearwater to see the Paquettes for an afternoon. It was so nice to finally visit with all of them.

The day before we left, some friends came over to my parents to throw Liam a baby shower.

Liam all dressed up for his shower waiting for the girls to arrive

They were all very willing to hold Liam and he slept through it all.

It was definitely a great trip. This coming weekend, Sarah and I are heading to Edmonton to meet up with my mom and Shelley for some wedding dress shopping. Should be fun!

The past 2 weeks have been so wonderful. Here are some updates of what our little family has been up too.
On the Saturday after Liam was born, Tammy and Rachel organized a baby shower for us. We got SO spoiled. It was so nice that so many friends and family were able to celebrate with us.

Rachel made this cute diaper cake

A couple of our youth in the church made a diaper changing kit for Josh.

Our family and friends

My mom, sister, and grandma were such a great help for us when Liam came home. It was very hard when they had to leave. They were always there to take Liam when I needed a nap, made wonderful meals, and left my house so clean. I can't say it looks that way anymore :)

Josh's first diaper change. It was only a "pee" diaper...he still hasn't changed a "messy" one. Hopefully soon :)

I forgot to congratulate Auntie Wanda in my last post for winning the Baby Poll!! She guessed the right day, Sept 16th. Thanks again for all your guesses!
