The story of William Enoch Phillips...

Wow, I can't believe he is here! It has been incredible. I thought I'd quickly let you know the story of our little Liam, while he is happily sleeping in his daddy's arms.

I had been having small contractions all week but they were not very strong or regular. On the Monday night Josh and I went for a walk and I had a warm bath to try to get things moving. At 1:30 I woke up with some contractions that were about 10 minutes apart. I didn't actually think that I was in labor so I decided to try and fall back asleep. The contractions started to get closer together and more painful so I ran a bath thinking that I still had awhile until the "real labor" was going to begin. I was in the bath for about an hour when I realized that my contractions were really close and VERY painful. I called Josh into the bathroom and we timed them and realized the contractions were only a couple minutes apart. We quickly piled into the car, and drove the quick trip to the hospital. The contractions were pretty much non-stop and my water broke just as we pulled into the parking lot. I was still thinking that I was only in the first stage of labor because it had only been a couple hours since I had my first contraction so all I wanted to do was get into the hospital and get some drugs. We rushed into the room to find out I was fully dilated and ready to push! I pushed for about a half an hour and Liam was born at 4:34. He came out crying and didn't stop until he was safe in his daddy's arms. I am so thankful for the quick labor, only 3 hours from start to finish and that I didn't have to take any drugs.
While in the hospital and at home, we've been very spoiled with many visitors and gifts from family and friends.
The newlyweds Tim and Jesseca
Lillian and Madison
Alicia
The Phillips boys
Great Grandma Wolfe
Great Grandpa and Grandma Brown
My sister, mom, and grandma have been here to help since we've been home from the hospital. It's been such a blessing having them here and cook and clean my house.
Well I'll leave you with a few more photos of our little guy.
